Prof Dr Abdul Latiff is currently works in Cyberjaya University College of Medical Sciences as the Dean in the Faculty of Medicine, Cyberjaya. He is also a Consultant Cardiologist in An Nur Specialist Hospital. His work experience are among others in University Hospital University of Malaya, Klang General Hospital, Tanjong Karang Hospital and International Medical University. He is a medical doctor by profession graduated from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. He has a M.R.C.P. (U.K.) from The Royal Colleges of Physicians (United Kingdom) and a Ph.D. in Cardiology from University of Leeds, Leeds, United Kingdom. He is a collegiate member of Edinburgh Royal College of Physicians and Member of Persatuan Perubatan Islam Malaysia (PPIM) (Islamic Medical Association of Malaysia). He is an active Member of National Heart Association of Malaysia and Treasurer of Malaysian Society of Hypertension. His awards and honors include Alhady Anatomy book prize (year 2 undergraduate Medicine), University honorary scholarship (year I to year 6 Medicine) and Royal Academic award (best overall student - UKM 1989). He has written numerous scientific publications like “A simple non-invasive method for estimation of baroreflex sensitivity after myocardial infarction” and “Plasma BNP Level as Marker for Early Detection of Heart Failure in Primary Hypertensive Patients”
